Gary Logan: We got the Intercontinental title match now folks!

Harold Fellows: The following match is set for one fall and is for the xCw
Intercontinental Championship. Making his way to the ring, the current xCw
Intercontinental Champion, Wolverine!

("New Faith" by Soil starts playing as Wolverine walks out of the back, wearing his Intercontinental Title. He walks down the aisle walks up the steel stairs and onto the apron. He steps through the ropes and unbuckles his Intercontinental Title, he holds it up for a few seconds, the crowd starts boo'ing, he then hands it to the ref.)

Harold Fellows: And his opponent, from New York, New York, Post!

("Unforgiven" by Metallica starts playing as Post makes his way out of the back to a huge ovation from the crowd. He makes his way down the ring and steps onto the apron, Post looks out at the crowd for a few seconds then raises his hands high in the air as camera's flash all over the arena. He then steps through the ropes.)

(The ref calls for the bell as the match gets underway. Wolverine and Post circle the ring for a few seconds, then they go into a strong tie up, Wolverine only takes a few seconds before applying a front headlock out of the tie up, Post easily shoves Wolverine off and into the ropes, but Wolverine catches Post as he comes off the ropes with another front headlock. Wolverine and Post tie up again and this time Wolverine locks in a hammer lock, he holds it for a few seconds then shoves Post away. Post starts getting a little frustrated, as he looks out at the crowd he sees Wolverine coming up behind him, Post turns and in a flash spears to the ground and opens up with a series of hard rights to the forehead. Post lets Wolverine up and kicks him in the gut, he whips him into the ropes but misses a clothesline, Wolverine comes off the ropes again and this time Post catches him with a jumping knee lift to the jaw. Wolverine goes down and Post goes to work, he grabs Wolverine and whips him into the corner, he then runs in and hits a clothesline, crushing Wolverine against the turnbuckles. Post follows up by grabbing Wolverine around the back of the head, he walks out of the corner and hits a one-handed Russian leg sweep, Post rolls over into a lateral press, the ref gets down but Wolverine is able to get his shoulders up before the count of three. Post grabs Wolverine and ties him up, he executes a hard falling suplex, but he keeps the hold and gets back up, dragging Wolverine to his feet. He hits a second suplex in succession and again keeps the hold, he lifts him up a third time and hits a third suplex, Post then floats over into the cover as the ref gets down to count, but Wolverine again gets out before the count of three and this time as Wolverine sits up Post locks him in a sleeper, Post locks him up tightly and the ref begins checking for the tap out, but Wolverine manages to hang on and insistently tells the ref no. After almost fading out, Wolvering fights up to one knee, then the other knee, then to his feet. He nails Post in the gut with his elbow, he finally gets Post to lossen up and breaks free, Wolverine goes off the ropes and comes back at Post full speed, but he takes a hard clothesline that brings him back down. Wolverine rolls out of the ring to regroup.)

Nick Hargreaves: Did you see that!? Post almost took his head off, that has to be a disqualification.

Gary Logan: Well the ref didn't call it that way.

Nick Hargeaves: Then what match is he watching? Because I would have disqualified Post for that.

Gary Logan: You know maybe that's why you're an announer and he's an official.

Nick Hargreaves: What is that supposed to mean!?

Gary Logan: Back to the action, Wolverine is trying to regroup and Post has just stepped out of the ring to attack.

(Post walks up behind Wolverine and grabs him by the head, he starts to slam him into the steel stairs but Wolverine hits him in the gut with an elbow smash and slams him into the stairs instead. With Post reeling Wolverine takes him down with a clothesline, Wolverine then opens up and stomps away on Post, the ref starts yelling and Wolverine grabs Post, he slides him back into the ring, Wolverine slides in behind him and lifts him up, he scoop slams him in the center of the ring, then runs off the ropes and hits an elbow drop, he follows it with another elbow drop. He grabs Post by the arm and locks in an armbar. Post yells out then quicly slides over and gets his foot on the bottom rope. Wolverine breaks the hold and backs off, Post gets back to his feet and runs at Wolverine, Wolverine sidesteps him and catches him in a waistlock, he then hits a huge German suplex, he keeps the hold and lifts Post back to his feet, he hits a second German suplex and again manages to hold the lock, Post is groggy getting up this time but manages to block the attempted third suplex, he grabs Wolverine in a waistlock of his own and hits his German suplex. Post, like Wolverine locks in the hold and goes for a second German suplex, he hits the second and keeps the hold, going for a third, but Wolverine manages to return the favor and block the third, he then grabs Post again and hits his third German suplex. This time Wolverine releases the hold and both men go down. Wolverine slowly gets back to his feet and Post uses the ropes to pull himself back up, Wolverine catches Post with a boot to the gut, then whips him off the ropes, he bends over looking for the back drop on Post, instead Post stops just short of Wolverine and hits him with a knee to the face. Wolverine bounces back up holding his face, he then turns back to Post and right into a kick to the gut, Post grabs Wolverine and starts setting up for The Vortex. But just as he gets it locked in, Wolverine muscles out and executes a back drop, sending Post crashing to the mat. Wolverine leans up against the ropes to take a breath.)

Gary Logan: These two men are wearing each other down with every passing second.

Nick Hargreaves: This is gonna come down to who has the most endurance.

Gary Logan: For once tonight we're in total agreement.

Nick Hargreaves: This may even prove good for Wolverine, who as the Champion will retain in the event of a count out.

(Wolverine grabs Post and lifts him up, but Post gets the better of him with a rake of the face, he grabs Wolverine and lifts him up into a body slam. He then points to the top rope, he walks over and climbs to the top, but before he can do anything Wolverine hits the ropes and causes him to fall and straddle the top rope. Wolverine goes over and climbs to the second rope, he sets up for a superplex but before he can lift him, Post hits him in the gut and shoves him back to the mat. Wolverine hits the mat hard and rolls away, Post stands back up and goes down to the middle rope, as Wolverine gets back to his feet and turns around Post comes off for an axehandle smash, but Wolverine sees it coming and reverses it into The Crippler, he drops Post to the mat and locks it on, the ref starts checking Post, Post tries his bet to hang on but Wolverine only makes the hold tighter and tighter. Finally Post realizes he has no choice but to give up and taps the mat frantically. The ref gets up and calls for the bell!)

Harold Fellows: You're winner, by submission, and still Intercontinental Champion, Wolverine!!

Nick Hargeaves: Ha! He kept the belt again, I told you....
