Owen Dobson: Well its time for the Intercontinetal number 1 contenders spot!

Harold Fellows: The following match is set for one fall and will determine who the Number One Contender to the Intercontinental Title is. Making his way to the ring, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Wolverine!

("Whatever" by Our Lady Peace starts playing as Wolverine walks out of the
back and makes his way down the aisle, carrying his Cruiserweight Title. The crowd boo's him as he slides into the ring and stands up. He hands his Title to the timekeeper then stands in the center of the ring waiting for Bryan.)

Harold Fellows: And his opponent, standing 6'7" and weighing 280 pounds, Bryan Deas!

("Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit starts playing as Bryan walks out of the back. He stops on the stage and just looks at Wolverine for a few seconds, then he makes his way down the aisle. He steps onto the apron and into the ring. He turns away to remove his sunglasses.)

(As he turns his back Wolverine runs up and hits him from behind, the ref sees this and calls for the bell. Wolverine keeps Bryan against the corner and nails him in the back a few more times before Bryan hits him with a reverse elbow. Wolverine takes a few steps back as Bryan turns around, he goes back after him but gets knocked down as Bryan comes out of the corner with a clothesline. Bryan tries to stomp on Wolverine but Wolverine manages to roll out of the way, Bryan tries again but Wolverine moves again and quickly gets to his feet. He nails Bryan with a hard chop to the chest. He follows it up with another hard chop and backs Bryan into the ropes, he goes for a whip but Bryan reverses it and sends Wolverine into the ropes instead, Bryan goes for a big boot but Wolverine ducks under it and runs off the ropes again, as he comes back Bryan goes for a reverse elbow smash but Wolverine ducks again and catches Bryan in a waistlock, he goes for a German suplex but Bryan's size prevents it. He lets go and takes a step back holding his back in pain. Bryan turns around and grabs Wolverine, he lifts him up and scoop slams him. With Wolverine down Bryan comes off the ropes and hits a huge jumping leg drop, he makes a quick cover but Wolverine manages to get free before the count of three from the ref. Bryan gets back to his feet and backs off the ropes again, he goes for another leg drop but this Wolverine moves out of the way and Bryan hits the mat with a loud crashing sound. Wolverine wastes no time in trying to equalize the match by taking out Bryan's legs, he grabs Bryan's right leg and holds it up then elbow drops it, he stands back up still holding the leg and elbow drops it again, he then applies a side leg lock as Bryan fights back trying to crawl to the ropes. The ref keeps checking as Bryan pulls to the ropes. Finally Bryan gets to the bottom rope and grabs it, the ref makes Wolverine break the hold. Wolverine stand up and stomps repeatedly on Bryan's leg, but Bryan still has a hold on the bottom rope so the ref starts yelling again and finally gets Wolverine to back off. Wolverine yells at the ref for a second, Bryan uses this time to gets back up to one knee, and as Wolverine goes back to the attack Bryan knocks him off with a jab to the throat. Wolverine stumbles back and Bryan gets back up to his feet. Wolverine rushes back in but Bryan catches him by the throat and starts to go for the Chokeslam, but Wolverine wisely kicks Bryan in the leg and gets him to break the hold.)

Nick Hargreaves: Wolverine did a good job on that leg, Bryan can't even use it long enough to pull off the Chokeslam.

Owen Dobson: Bryan has the size advantage in this match but he can't use that if he can't use his right leg.

Nick Hargreaves: That's why I like Wolverine, he's always thinking about stuff like that.

Owen Dobson: If he had a battle plan in this match it's worked nicely so far. He's taken Bryan's biggest advantage away.

(With Bryan down on his left knee Wolverine starts stomping the right knee again, trying to further incapacitate Bryan. After a few kicks Bryan reaches up and shoves Wolverine off of him, Wolverine quickly goes back to the assault on Bryan's leg and Bryan again shoves him off. This time Bryan gets back to his feet but still favors the right knee as he limps toward Wolverine, Wolverine runs at him and ducks a clothesline attempt, he then turns and takes Bryan down with a chop block to the right knee, Wolverine stands back and stays behind Bryan. Bryan slowly gets back to his feet again, Wolverine hits him with another chop block and takes him down again, he goes back to the attack on the knee with another side leg lock, Bryan yells out in pain again but doesn't quit. He pulls himself to the ropes again and this time rolls to the outside after Wolerine's hold is broken. Bryan tries to walk on his knee but has a lot of trouble, he sees Wolverine about to grab him from over the top rope in the ring, he quickly turns and grabs Wolverine's legs, he uses them to pull Wolverine to the outside, on the outside he nails Wolverine with a hard right then grabs his arm, still limping he manages to whip Wolverine shoulder first into the guard railing. Wolverine hits with enough impact to knock the top part loose as it falls to the ground. Bryan walks over and grabs Wolverine, he slowly lifts him onto his shoulder, then drops him face first onto the ring apron, his knee gets even worse from the strain of lifting Wolverine so he slides back into the ring and uses the ropes to get to his feet. Not long after Wolverine slides back into the ring. He runs at Bryan and gets lifted up into a body press, but Bryan's knee gives out on him and he falls, Wolverine manages to land on top of him and the ref gets down to count, but Bryan uses his strength to power out before the count of three. Both men get back to their feet and Wolverine grabs Bryan from behind, he lifts him up then applies a waistlock, he tries again for a German suplex and this time manages to lift Bryan off his feet and slam him onto the mat, but he doesn't try to keep the waist lock and settles for the one German suplex. With Bryan down Wolverine stands up and walks to the corner, he climbs to the top rope and sets up for his diving headbutt, Wolverine goes for it but he's stopped on the way down as Bryan reaches up and grabs him around the throat. Bryan starts to stand up.)

Owen Dobson: If Bryan can pull this off this match will be over.

Nick Hargreaves: But his leg strength is pratically gone, I don't think he'll be able to even lift Wolverine.

(Bryan gets to his feet with his hand still on Wolverine's throat. Amazingly on one leg Bryan manages to lift up and Chokeslam Woverine. The crowd gasps as both men go down again. The time the ref checks them out and starts his ten count. He gets to about seven before Bryan manages to reach over and gets his arm on top of Wolverine, the ref gets down to count, but Wolverine turns it over and grabs Bryan's arm, realizing that a his Crippler may not be enough he hooks Bryan's right leg and applies an STF-like version of his Crippler. Bryan hangs on for several seconds as the ref keeps checking him, finally Bryan gives in and taps out. The ref gets up and calls for the bell, the sound is all Wolverine needs to hear as he releases the hold and stands up. The ref gets his Cruiserweight Title and Wolverine jerks it out of his hands, he leaves the ring as Fellows makes the call.)

Harold Fellows: Your winner by submission, Wolverine!
